This 11” Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope has the largest aperture of the Celestron Nexstar GPS telescope line. The celestial database of the Nexstar alignment contains the location of over 40,000 objects, including NGC galaxies, Abell galaxies, nebulae, and planets. Its sophisticated hibernate function can maintain its star position night after night without needing to be re-aligned. This would be a great feature for someone who has a permanent observatory facility. The Starbright multi-coatings give the telescope excellent light transmission. GPS? Yes, GPS. The telescope is so advanced that as you turn it on, the integrated GPS and compass system automatically pinpoints your exact location and points to your first alignment star. No need to enter the date, time, longitude and latitude or even know the position of north. How powerful is this telescope? The highest useful magnification is 660x (the lowest is 40x).
