This 11” Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope has the largest aperture of the Celestron Nexstar GPS telescope line. The celestial database of the Nexstar alignment contains the location of over 40,000 objects, including NGC galaxies, Abell galaxies, nebulae, and planets. Its sophisticated hibernate function can maintain its star position night after night without needing to be re-aligned. This would be a great feature for someone who has a permanent observatory facility. The Starbright multi-coatings give the telescope excellent light transmission. Why does it have GPS? This advanced telescope has an integrated GPS and compass system. No need to enter the date, time, longitude and latitude or even know the position of north. The telescope automatically pinpoints your exact location and points to your first alignment star. After you zero in on a second alignment star, select an object from the database and the telescope will automatically point to that object. How powerful is this telescope?
