Sale Description

The sale will be in the home of the late Ruth Coleman Morris and John H. Morris.  Ruth was a 46-year employee of McKenzie Banking Company where she was elected president in 1975.  She was one of the first female bank presidents in Tennessee.  John was a very successful contractor. He built the first Wal-Mart store east of the Mississippi River.

Ruth was a 50-year member of the McKenzie Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and chairperson of the finance committee.  She was a major contributor and supporter of the church.  She also strongly supported Bethel University in McKenzie.  She was also an active leader and member in community organizations.  She had the honor of being elected  “Woman of the Year” in Tennessee.

The McKenzie Middle School has given permission for customers to park in the school parking lot just north of the home.
